Rooted in Faith,
Grounded by Love.
Born and raised in Fontana, CA, Malachi Samuels grew up navigating the world between two homes — until his father was murdered when he was just 8 years old. A childhood wrapped in loss shaped an artist who understands what music is actually for.
While studying at the US Air Force Academy, he met the woman who would become his wife — a French au pair at a nearby home. When he was dismissed, he didn’t hesitate. He left with her. They traveled, figured it out, and when she returned to France and her host family let him go, he lived outside for a stretch. His army recruiter took him in. He got on his feet, flew to France, and boarded a plane home just as COVID-19 began.
He shipped to basic training as the world shut down. A full year passed without seeing family. He was stationed at Fort Wainwright, Fairbanks, Alaska. While separated and preparing their home, he flew to France at the end of 2020 and they married — during COVID, across an ocean, making it work the only way they knew how. He brought her back to Alaska in September 2021. Alaska nearly broke them both. They ended up in jail together. Charges dropped. They sold the house in October 2022 when he separated from the Army.
Back in California, starting fresh — none of it possible without Cynthia, his mother, who was the anchor through every chapter. She kept him grounded, pushed him to be a better man, and was as much a lifeline for Emé as she was for Malachi. His wife built her career as a professional makeup artist in the entertainment industry. He enrolled at the Los Angeles Recording School, finishing his music degree with film production next. Credits with Kanye West, Asake, and Love Island placements already in hand, an album dropping in 2026, and a reality TV series on the way with his wife. The future isn’t coming. It’s already here.
